Gu Zhenghong bravely stood up to fight against imperialism and reactionary forces for the interests of the working class and the dignity of the nation. His heroic deeds and dedication have inspired countless Chinese people and have become a monument in the history of the Chinese workers' movement.
Wang Jinxi was born on October 8, 1923, into a poor peasant family in Chijinbao, Yumen County, Gansu Province. His infant name was "Shijinwa", and when he grew up, he was named "Wang Jinxi". His parents hoped that he could go to school and learn skills to revive the family business. However, at the age of 6, he led his blind father to beg. He also herded cows for the landlord and was forced to transport wool and carry coal for the warlords. In 1938, at the age of 15, he became a child laborer at the Yumen Oilfield, enduring heavy labor as well as oppression and exploitation.

Shi Yang, an outstanding early leader of the labor movement of the Communist Party of China and known as the "labor lawyer," was persecuted by the Northern Warlords on February 15, 1923, and sacrificed at the foot of Hongshan Mountain in Wuchang.
Liu Hua (1899-1925) was from Yibin, Sichuan Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1924. In 1925, together with Liu Shaoqi, Li Lisan and Deng Zhongxia, he organized and led the May 30th Movement. With the heroic verse "My heart full of passionate blood is like the spring rain, sprinkling all over the sacred flowers of the laborers", he wrote a glorious chapter with his youth in the annals of the liberation movement of the Chinese working class.
