On March 4, the 7th (Enlarged) Meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the General Trade Union of Guangdong Province was held in Guangzhou. The brand of model workers and craftsmen has been further promoted and solidified, the reform of building the industrial worker team has been steadily advanced, breakthroughs have been made in the construction of the rule of law in trade unions, and the influence of the "Yue Gong Hui" platform has been continuously enhanced. The "Guangdong Model" of the construction and service of the 12351 hotline has been replicated and promoted in the national trade union system. The largest system of trade union love stations in the country has been established. A large amount of resources and efforts have been invested, driving local Party committees and governments to subsidize the construction and renovation, and local workers' cultural palaces have regained their vitality. The "Six Actions" of trade union work in new business forms have been carried out solidly, and the "Five Constructions" model has been innovatively proposed. For the first time, the "trinity" membership admission model of "membership admission mini-program + municipal industry trade union federation + gift of accidental medical mutual assistance security plan" has been adopted. Looking back on the work in recent years, especially in 2023, the ability of trade unions at all levels to integrate into and serve the overall situation and promote it has been continuously improved, the social value and influence of trade union work have been continuously enhanced, the sense of gain, happiness and security of workers have been continuously improved, the sense of professional accomplishment and identity of a large number of trade union cadres have been continuously enhanced, and solid steps have been taken in the high-quality development of trade union undertakings in the whole province.
Lv Yesheng emphasized that it is of great responsibility and arduous task to do a good job in 2024. The trade union work in Guangdong is facing new situations and tasks, showing new characteristics and trends. The requirements for trade union work to be political are higher, the requirements for serving high-quality development are higher, the political security situation in the field of labor is more complex, and the requirements for quality and efficiency are higher. It is necessary to vigorously carry forward the fine tradition of consciously accepting the leadership of the Party, firmly grasp that the central task of the Party is the theme and direction of trade union work, and firmly shoulder the political responsibility of guiding workers and the masses to follow the Party and keep pace with it. Lv Yesheng required that more attention should be paid to the political stance. We should strengthen the Party's leadership, strengthen theoretical armament, and serve the central task. We should firmly grasp the "most important national affairs" as the "primary task", the "most important provincial affairs" as the "key task", and the deployment of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions as the "business task", find the right position of responsibilities, clarify the working direction and play a greater role in the overall work. More attention should be paid to overall planning. We should strengthen systematic thinking and dialectical thinking, strengthen the overall planning among various business fields, between urban and rural areas, and between the Pearl River Delta and the eastern, western and northern regions of Guangdong. Strengthen cooperation and coordination with relevant departments, realize the integration and efficiency improvement of multiple resources, and promote the stable and far-reaching development of trade union undertakings. Vigorously implement the three "Three-year Actions" such as the rights protection and service for workers in new employment forms, the construction of trade unions in non-public enterprises, and the construction of the three-level trade union at the grass-roots level, continuously expand the organizational coverage and work coverage of trade unions, and open up the "last mile" of various trade union work and service contents. More attention should be paid to the thinking of the rule of law.
